Finite element analysis, contract & project basis

Find the Failure. Strengthen the Design

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural, thermal, fatigue, and dynamic simulation — helping you validate CAD designs, identify failure risks, reduce physical prototyping, and confidently verify performance under real-world load conditions.

CORE SERVICES

Eight analysis categories, each with the sub-services behind it

Every job starts as one of these categories. Most engagements combine two or three — a bracket redesign is rarely just a static check.

Structural static & linear analysis

Stress, deflection, and factor-of-safety under fixed loads — the baseline check for any load-bearing part or assembly.

SUB-SERVICES
  • Static stress & deflection analysis
  • Contact & assembly interaction analysis
  • Bolted joint & fastener analysis
  • Weld strength & joint sizing

Modal & vibration analysis

Finds natural frequencies and predicts response to shaking, road input, or rotating equipment before resonance becomes a field failure.

SUB-SERVICES
  • Natural frequency & mode shape extraction
  • Harmonic (frequency response) analysis
  • Random vibration / PSD analysis
  • Shock response spectrum analysis

Thermal analysis

Temperature distribution and heat flow through parts and assemblies, standalone or coupled back into a structural check.

SUB-SERVICES
  • Steady-state thermal analysis
  • Transient thermal analysis
  • Thermal-structural (coupled) analysis
  • Electronics & enclosure cooling checks

Fatigue & durability analysis

Predicts how many cycles a part survives under repeated loading, and where the first crack is likely to start.

SUB-SERVICES
  • S-N (stress-life) fatigue prediction
  • Strain-life / low-cycle fatigue
  • Vibration & random-load fatigue
  • Weld & joint fatigue assessment

Nonlinear analysis

For loads or materials that don't behave in a straight line — large deflection, plastic yielding, rubber, or shifting contact.

SUB-SERVICES
  • Large deformation / geometric nonlinearity
  • Material nonlinearity (plasticity, hyperelastics)
  • Nonlinear contact analysis
  • Nonlinear post-buckling behavior

Buckling & stability analysis

Checks whether thin-walled or slender members will buckle before they yield — a separate failure mode from static stress.

SUB-SERVICES
  • Linear (eigenvalue) buckling analysis
  • Nonlinear post-buckling analysis
  • Column, panel & shell stability checks

Impact & drop test simulation

Explicit dynamic simulation of short-duration, high-energy events, used in place of or alongside physical drop and crash testing.

SUB-SERVICES
  • Product drop test simulation
  • Crash & impact analysis
  • Explicit dynamics for short-duration events

Design optimization

Uses simulation results to remove mass or improve performance systematically, instead of by trial and error.

SUB-SERVICES
  • Topology optimization
  • Parametric & shape optimization
  • DOE-based design exploration
WORKFLOW

The same six stages run under every analysis

Whichever category applies, the model has to pass through these stages before a number leaves our hands.

01

CAD cleanup

Defeature and simplify the geometry so it meshes cleanly without changing the load path.

02

Meshing

Element type, size, and refinement chosen for the physics being solved, not left at software defaults.

03

Boundary conditions

Loads, constraints, and contacts set to match how the part is actually mounted and loaded in service.

04

Solve

Run the solver, check convergence, and confirm the results make physical sense before trusting them.

05

Verify

Mesh convergence and hand-calc sanity checks against the solved result.

06

Report

A traceable report with assumptions, load cases, and margins — built to survive a design review.

INDUSTRIES

Where these analyses get used

The techniques carry across sectors, but the load cases, standards, and failure modes we check for change with the industry.

Aerospace & defense

Airframe brackets, mounts, and structures under fatigue- and buckling-critical loads.

Automotive & transportation

Chassis, suspension, and powertrain components checked for NVH, vibration, and crash performance.

Industrial machinery

Equipment frames, gearboxes, and pressure-bearing components under static and fatigue loading.

Medical devices

Surgical instruments and implants validated for drop, fatigue, and in-service load limits.

Consumer electronics

Enclosures and internal structures checked for drop test, thermal, and shipping vibration.

Energy & offshore

Piping, pressure vessels, and structural supports for oil & gas, power, and renewable energy assets.

OUTCOMES

What clients get out of an engagement

Blended figures across recent projects — your result depends on part complexity and how many load cases apply.

3–10d

turnaround for a single-part static check

40%

avg. mass removed via topology optimization

2–3

physical prototypes avoided per redesign

100%

reports include traceable assumptions & margins

Send the CAD file and the load case. We'll tell you the margin.

Share your engineering requirement with our team and we can determine the appropriate analysis approach.
